Weaving Intention: Macramé Stone Wrapping Workshop
Event Date:
March 8, 2026
Event Time:
11:30 am
Event Description
In this hands-on workshop, you will learn how to wrap a stone using macramé, an ancient knotting technique practiced in many cultures around the world. More than just learning knots, this experience is about slowing down, working with your hands, and creating something meaningful and unique.
Wrapping a stone is a meditative and grounding process. As you weave, you connect with the rhythm of your breath, your creativity, and the natural energy of the stone. Each piece becomes a personal talisman, something made with intention, patience, and care.
This workshop is beginner friendly. You will be guided step by step, with plenty of time to practice and ask questions. No previous experience with macramé is needed.
All materials needed to create one macramé-wrapped stone are included (thread, beads, cabochon stone, lighter, scissors and weaving device)
You are welcome to bring your own special stone if you have one you’d like to work with.
You will take home your finished macramé-wrapped stone, ready to wear, gift, or place on your altar or home. Also, basic macramé skills you can use again in future creations.
Suitable for teens and adults (approximately 12 years and up), as long as the participant has the hand coordination and focus needed for knotting work.
