Ready to get a little wild with paper, blades, and color? In this two-day workshop, we’ll craft this striking, brightly colored portrait; all built up in bold, layered cutouts.
Day One: 5:00-8:00PM
We’ll start by designing and slicing the main shapes using blades and scissors, playing with shape, negative space, and those glorious pops of color that make collages sing. You’ll learn how to break a portrait down into layerable shapes, almost like building a paper sculpture.
Day Two: 5:00PM-Completion of Project
We’ll bring it to life with mixed media magic: inks, paints, textured papers, maybe a sprinkle of metallic foil, whatever makes the piece uniquely yours. This workshop is ideal for those comfortable with basic cutting tools and techniques; just bring your creativity, focus for detail and a willingness to experiment. Sharp tools, bright colors, and unexpected textures? Yes, please.
